Top 5 Utilities Apps in the UK: Q4 2024 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top utilities applications in the United Kingdom showcased varied performance in terms of downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Google maintained a consistent weekly download range, peaking at around 81K downloads in early October and closing the quarter with approximately 72K. Active users steadily increased, reaching nearly 38.1M by the end of December.

The UK Immigration: ID Check app experienced fluctuations in downloads, starting strong with 101K and eventually tapering to 68K by the year's end. Active users followed an upward trajectory, from 296K in early October to over 375K in December.

GOV.UK ID Check saw downloads hover around 80K for most of the quarter, dipping to 50K in late December. Active users peaked at 311K in October but decreased to 227K by the end of the quarter.

Google Chrome downloads were relatively stable, with slight increases towards the holiday season, reaching 54K in late December. Active users remained robust, consistently around 39M throughout the quarter.

Microsoft Edge: AI Browser showed a decline in downloads from 79K in September to 46K at the end of December. Revenue increased gradually, peaking at $308 in the week before Christmas. Active users varied, with a noticeable dip in late December to 2.9M.
