In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top utilities applications in Europe showcased varied performance trends across a unified platform. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Google experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $109K in the final week of December. Weekly downloads showed an initial decline but recovered towards the end of the quarter, maintaining a range between 600K and 800K. Active users steadily increased from 460M to nearly 469M.

Google Chrome maintained consistent weekly download numbers with a notable spike in December, reaching upwards of 730K. Active users remained stable, fluctuating slightly around 469M.

VPN cat: Fast Secure Unlimited saw a significant rise in weekly revenue, culminating at $25K in late December. Downloads increased steadily throughout the quarter, peaking at 389K. Active user numbers mirrored this upward trend, reaching over 276K by the end of December.

Google Authenticator maintained a consistent weekly download rate, peaking at 486K in early December. Active users saw a decline from 16.5M to 13.9M towards the end of the quarter.

Opera: AI browser with VPN showed a gradual decrease in downloads, starting at 195K in October and ending at 93K in late December. Active users, however, remained relatively stable, closing the quarter with around 430K.
