In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top insurance applications in the United States showed varied performance across downloads and active users. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the trends observed on a unified platform.

Progressive maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at 200.7K at the beginning of the quarter. Despite fluctuations, downloads hovered around 180K to 190K, ending the quarter at 188.3K. Active users demonstrated a notable increase, starting at 3.5M and reaching over 4M by the end of December.

For State Farm®, downloads saw a significant boost, especially in December, with a peak of 243.7K in the week of December 9. Active users rose from 2.2M at the start to almost 2.7M by the end of the quarter, showing a consistent upward trend.

UnitedHealthcare experienced a dramatic rise in downloads, particularly in December, ending with a peak of 331.6K. Its active users similarly saw growth, reaching over 2M in the final week of the quarter.

GEICO Mobile - Car Insurance maintained stable download numbers, with a slight increase to 89.5K by the end of December. Active users fluctuated but culminated in a rise to 2.4M, indicating strong user engagement.

Lastly, Allstate® Mobile showed a steady download pattern, ending the quarter with 44.9K. However, active users experienced a gradual decline from over 1.2M to 857.7K.
