Top News Apps Performance on iOS in Austria: Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top five news applications on the iOS platform in Austria exhibited varied performance metrics. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Reddit showed a fluctuating trend in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $131 in the final week of December. The app maintained a consistent download pattern, with numbers ranging from around 1.7K to 4.8K. Active users saw a decline from 111K at the start of the quarter to 97K by the end.

X exhibited a significant rise in weekly revenue, reaching its highest at $11.6K in late November. Downloads remained relatively stable, hovering between 1.5K and 2.1K. The app's active user base experienced fluctuations, ending the quarter with approximately 179K users.

ORF ON had no revenue data, but downloads varied, with a notable increase to 1.4K in the last week of December. Active users started at 61K and concluded the quarter with a rise to 47K.

GEM2GO - Die Gemeinde App did not generate any revenue during this period. The app's download numbers saw a gradual increase, peaking at 1.6K by the end of December.

ORF.at News also reported no revenue. Downloads were relatively low, with a slight uptick to 783 in the last week of December.
