In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of the top five news applications on the iOS platform in Switzerland showcased distinct trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

NZZ from Neue Zürcher Zeitung AG saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, peaking at around $72.8K in late October. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight increase to 526 in the final week of December. Active users started at 32K and ended the quarter with a slight decline to 31K.

Tages-Anzeiger Nachrichten by Tamedia Abo Services AG experienced varied weekly revenue, reaching $64.6K in early November. Weekly downloads decreased from 763 at the start to 413 by the end of December.

X from X Corp. had a significant spike in revenue, hitting $41.9K in late November. Downloads showed an upward trend towards the end of the quarter, with weekly active users fluctuating around 180K, ending slightly lower than the start.

Blick Nachrichten & Sport reported a revenue increase to $14.3K in early November. Downloads remained steady, while active users rose from 103K to 131K by the end of December.

Lastly, Tribune de Genève News saw a peak in revenue at $14.4K in early November. Downloads were modest but consistent, with active users showing minor fluctuations, ending at 2.4K.
