In the fourth quarter of 2024, New Zealand's Android shopping app market showcased interesting trends across the top five applications. Here’s a closer look at their performance metrics based on data from Sensor Tower.

Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire saw a varied pattern in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 6.6K downloads and experiencing a dip to around 5.2K mid-quarter. By the end of December, downloads stabilized around 5.9K. Active users fluctuated slightly, peaking at about 415K in early December before settling at roughly 388K by year-end.

Everyday Rewards experienced a steady increase in downloads, starting at 4.3K and reaching a high of 6.4K by late November. Active users followed a similar upward trajectory, climbing from 113K to approximately 125K mid-December, before a slight decline to 119K.

New World had a notable spike in downloads in late October at 4.5K, with numbers hovering around 4.1K in December. Active users consistently increased throughout the quarter, beginning at 62K and peaking at 78K by late December.

SHEIN-Shopping Online maintained steady download numbers, averaging around 3.3K in October, with a slight dip in December to 2.4K. Active users saw a decline from 117K to approximately 94K by the end of the quarter.

ShopBack: Cashback & Rewards showed an initial decline in downloads, hitting a low of 1.1K in early December, before a slight recovery to 1.6K by the end of the month. Active users displayed a similar pattern, starting at 13K and ending the quarter at about 14K.
