Top 5 Android Insurance Apps in Kenya: Q4 2024 Performance

In the last quarter of 2024, the performance of the top five insurance apps on the Android platform in Kenya showed varied trends in downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Discovery experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 5.3K and dropping to just over 1K by the end of December. However, its weekly active users increased from 6.2K to approximately 7K, showing a positive trend in user engagement.

Old Mutual saw a significant spike in weekly downloads mid-quarter, peaking at 6.7K in the week of November 18. Active users mirrored this trend, reaching a high of 9.4K around the same period.

MyBritam maintained a steady download rate, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 1.7K in early December. Active users consistently grew throughout the quarter, reaching over 15K before a slight drop in late December.

LCT Africa had a modest download performance, with numbers fluctuating between 177 and 934. The app did not provide active user data, but its download pattern suggests variable interest over the quarter.

MTIBA Member showed a declining download trend, starting at 490 and closing the quarter at 287. Like LCT Africa, active user data was not available for MTIBA Member.
