Top Insurance Apps on Android in Ghana: Q4 2024 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the insurance app market on Android in Ghana showed varied performance across the top applications. Here's a look at the trends based on Sensor Tower data.

MyStar, published by Star Assurance Group, experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads. Starting at 707 downloads at the beginning of the quarter, the numbers saw a decline, hitting a low of 213 in the week of December 23, before slightly rising to 256 by the end of December.

Acacia Health Insurance had a modest download count, with a notable spike reaching 303 downloads in the last week of November. However, the weekly downloads dropped to 29 by the end of December.

My Wafa - Assur, from Wafa Assurance, maintained a relatively stable download rate, starting at 83 downloads and gradually decreasing to 49 by the end of the quarter. Active user numbers also showed a slight decline from 40 to 31.

My Super Star saw a peak in weekly downloads at 71 in mid-November, but the numbers eventually decreased to 34 by the end of December.

Finally, PRUcalc had a short burst of activity in November, with downloads peaking at 125 in the week of November 18.
