In the third quarter of 2024, travel applications in Malta showcased varied trends in weekly downloads across both iOS and Android platforms. This analysis, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the performance of the top five travel apps.

Bolt: Request a Ride maintained relatively steady downloads throughout the quarter, starting with around 3K downloads per week and experiencing a peak of approximately 3.3K in the week of August 19. However, a decline was observed towards the end of the quarter, with downloads dropping to about 1.6K by the end of September.

Uber - Request a ride saw its downloads peak at 1.8K in early August, following a gradual increase from July. After this peak, the app experienced a steady decline in downloads, ending the quarter with approximately 570 downloads per week.

KM Malta Airlines showed a more stable download pattern. Starting with around 800 downloads per week in early July, the app saw a peak of about 860 downloads in early September before a gradual decrease to around 500 by the end of September.

Ryanair displayed a consistent performance in terms of downloads, with numbers fluctuating between 750 and 930 weekly downloads. The app's revenue remained minimal, hovering around $1 to $2 throughout the quarter.

eCabs: Request a Ride experienced a significant surge in downloads in late July, peaking at nearly 2.9K in early August. This was followed by a sharp decline, reaching as low as 420 in late August, before stabilizing around 880 weekly downloads by the end of September.
