In the third quarter of 2024, the shopping app landscape in El Salvador showcased significant activity, as revealed by Sensor Tower data. Here's a detailed look at the performance trends of the top five shopping apps based on weekly downloads and active users.

Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire saw a remarkable increase in weekly downloads, which started from about 4.5K in early July and soared to nearly 48.7K by the end of September. This surge was mirrored in the active user base, which steadily climbed from approximately 22.8K to over 115K during the same period.

The SHEIN - Shopping Online app maintained a consistently high number of weekly downloads, fluctuating between 10.6K and 15.3K. Its active users exhibited a gradual rise, moving from around 303.9K in early July to 339.6K by the end of September.

Alibaba.com experienced steady download figures, peaking at 8.8K in early August but later stabilizing around 6.3K by late September. The app's active user base remained relatively stable, averaging around 165K to 173K throughout the quarter.

Amazon Shopping showed a modest download range of approximately 2.7K to 3.6K weekly. Despite a slight fluctuation, active users remained consistent, ending the quarter with about 133K users.

Finally, the AliExpress - Shopping App had a varied download pattern, with numbers ranging from 1.8K to 3.7K. Active users experienced minor fluctuations, starting at 56.2K and closing the period at 59.2K.
