In the third quarter of 2024, the shopping app market in Malta showcased intriguing trends across various platforms. Data from Sensor Tower highlights the performance of the top five shopping applications on a unified platform, focusing on weekly downloads.

Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire maintained a relatively stable download trend throughout the quarter. Starting at approximately 5.6K downloads in early July, it saw a slight increase, peaking at nearly 6K in late August, before settling around 5.8K by the end of September.

Lidl Plus experienced a more fluctuating download pattern. Downloads began at 1.7K and dipped to around 700 by mid-September. Despite minor recoveries, the app concluded the quarter with just under 700 downloads.

SHEIN - Shopping Online showed moderate activity, with downloads initially at 1.1K, dipping slightly throughout the quarter. A drop to 798 downloads was observed in early September, before a slight increase to 863 by the end of the quarter.

Alibaba.com started the quarter with 370 downloads, experiencing a gradual rise to 622 in mid-August. However, by the end of September, downloads decreased to 351.

Lastly, cloudigo saw an upward trend in the initial weeks, climbing from 240 downloads to a peak of 546 in late July. This was followed by a decline, with downloads falling to 224 by the last week of September.
