During the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the top five news applications on a unified platform in Peru showed varied trends across downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

X from X Corp. demonstrated a consistent increase in weekly revenue, culminating at around $1.8K in the final week of September. Its weekly downloads spiked in late July, peaking at approximately 35.7K, while weekly active users saw a gradual decline from 1.8M to 1.6M throughout the quarter.

On the other hand, Reddit experienced modest weekly revenue, with minor fluctuations, reaching a peak of $13 in the week of September 23. Weekly downloads showed some volatility, with a high of 7.8K in late July, and weekly active users steadily increased, ending the quarter at about 86K.

Google News did not generate any revenue during this period. However, it maintained a consistent download rate, peaking at 1K in late July, while its weekly active users fluctuated slightly, closing the quarter at approximately 238K.

For El Comercio Perú, downloads remained relatively stable, with occasional increases, reaching 291 in mid-August. The app did not report any active user data for this period.

Similarly, Gestión showed steady weekly downloads, with a peak of 326 in mid-August. Like El Comercio Perú, it did not have active user data available for this quarter.
