During the third quarter of 2024, the top news applications on the unified platform in Africa showcased varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.
X from X Corp. saw a dynamic quarter with weekly revenue peaking at about $29.8K towards the end of August. Downloads began at around 439K in early July but gradually decreased to approximately 234K by the end of September. Active users started strong at over 15M but experienced a decline, ending the quarter at approximately 14.2M.
Reddit exhibited modest revenue fluctuations, with the highest weekly revenue reaching $515 by the end of September.
