In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the top five news applications on a unified platform in Europe showcased varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides an insightful glimpse into the market dynamics for these leading apps.

X from X Corp. demonstrated a fluctuating performance throughout the quarter. Weekly revenue peaked at approximately $385K by the end of September, following a gradual increase from $326K in early July. Downloads experienced a similar trend, reaching 458K in the final week, after a mid-quarter dip to around 365K. Active users, however, showed a decline over the quarter, moving from 46.5M at the start to 42.1M by the end.

The Guardian - Live World News saw its weekly revenue peak in late July at $417K, before settling at around $293K by the end of September. Downloads remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 8.2K and 9.9K, while weekly active users hovered around 300K to 330K, maintaining a consistent user base.

Finally, Corriere della Sera observed a consistent revenue stream, starting at $158K and concluding at $151K. Weekly downloads decreased from 7.3K to 4.1K over the quarter, while active users saw minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at approximately 125K.
