The third quarter of 2024 witnessed interesting trends in the navigation app sector in Turkey, as analyzed through Sensor Tower's comprehensive data. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top 5 navigation apps on the unified platform.

Google Maps experienced a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, starting with 138K in early July and peaking at 170K the following week. The downloads then decreased to around 99K by the end of September. Meanwhile, the app maintained a stable base of weekly active users, beginning with approximately 7.3M and closing the quarter at about 6.9M.

Moovit: All Transit Options saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, starting at $3.3K and rising to over $5.1K by the end of September. Downloads peaked in early September at around 70K, while the active user base grew from 610K to approximately 747K, indicating an upward trend in user engagement.

Yandex Navi – navigation, maps maintained modest revenue levels, with a peak of $138 in late September. The app's downloads showed a gradual decline from 42K in mid-July to about 30K by the end of the quarter. Active users started at 1.1M, peaking at 1.2M mid-quarter, before dropping to 972K.

Shell: Fuel & Rewards also registered no revenue but maintained a steady download pattern, starting at 29K and declining to 16K by the end of September. Active users exhibited a similar trend, beginning at 157K and closing the quarter at 159K.
