Top 5 Navigation Apps in France Q3 2024: Performance Overview

As we dive into the third quarter of 2024, the navigation app landscape in France shows intriguing trends across the top five apps. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, offers insights into download numbers and active user engagement without delving into revenue, as none of the apps reported revenue figures for this period.

Google Maps maintained high user engagement, with weekly active users hovering around 8.6M in early July and slightly declining to approximately 8.1M by the end of September. Weekly downloads peaked at 103K in mid-August but showed a gradual decrease, ending the quarter with around 69.5K downloads.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced strong download activity, reaching a high of 159K in mid-August before tapering off to about 79.5K by the end of September. Active users fluctuated, starting at 5.9M and closing the quarter slightly lower at 5.5M.

Île-de-France Mobilités saw a notable increase in weekly downloads towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 97K in the last week of September. Active users followed a similar upward trend, increasing from 365K in early July to nearly 449K by the end of September.
