Top 5 Navigation Apps Performance in Switzerland Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the navigation app landscape in Switzerland saw varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement, as revealed by Sensor Tower data.

Google Maps continued to lead the pack with fluctuating weekly downloads that peaked at around 12K by the end of September. The app maintained a strong user base with weekly active users consistently above 1.9M, showing a slight increase towards the end of the quarter.

swisstopo experienced modest weekly revenue, peaking at $14 in late September. Downloads saw a gradual decline from a high of nearly 6.9K in July to about 4.1K by the end of September. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 56K throughout the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic displayed a downward trend in downloads from a high of 5.1K in late July to approximately 3.2K by the end of the quarter. Despite the decrease in downloads, active users were fairly steady, with numbers staying around 125K.

TCS - Touring Club Schweiz saw a notable spike in downloads mid-quarter, reaching 6.7K in late August, before settling to around 3.9K by the end of September. Weekly active users showed a slight decrease over the quarter, ending with about 8.5K.

Radarbot: Speed Cameras | GPS reported significant weekly revenue, peaking at $13.4K in late July. However, downloads had a downward trajectory, starting at 2.8K in mid-July and decreasing to about 1.8K by the end of September. Active users also saw a minor reduction, ending the quarter with approximately 9.3K.
