Top 5 Navigation Apps in Bahrain: Q3 2024 Performance

In the third quarter of 2024, Bahrain's navigation app market displayed interesting trends across the top five applications, as seen through data from Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at how these apps performed over this period.

Google Maps maintained a consistent presence in the market. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, starting at around 1.8K in early July and gradually decreasing to approximately 1.2K by the end of September. Despite the variations in downloads, Google's app did not generate any revenue during this period.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic also showed steady download numbers, beginning with 594 downloads in the first week of July and ending at 495 downloads by the last week of September, with a notable peak of 938 downloads in the first week of August. Similar to Google Maps, Waze did not report any revenue generation.

Qibla Finder Compass 100% experienced varied revenue trends. It started with revenue around $292 in early July, saw a dip to $33 in early September, then rose again to $169 by the end of the quarter. Download numbers were relatively stable, hovering around 250 to 320 downloads weekly throughout the quarter.

3D Finder and Maps, although a late entrant in the market, saw a surge in downloads in its second week with 783 downloads. However, this number quickly diminished, with the app seeing negligible downloads by the end of September. No revenue was reported during this period.
