Top 5 Navigation Apps Performance in Bulgaria, Q3 2024

During the third quarter of 2024, the navigation app market in Bulgaria showed diverse trends in downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data. This analysis provides a snapshot of the performance of the top five navigation applications on the unified platform.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at 17.2K in early August. Active users also varied, reaching a high of approximately 207K in mid-August before gradually declining to around 176K by the end of September.

Google Maps maintained a relatively stable weekly download rate, averaging around 5K. However, weekly active users showed a slight downward trend, decreasing from about 295K to 271K over the quarter.

Moovit: All Transit Options experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, culminating at approximately $961 by the end of September. Downloads were varied, with a notable rise to 6.7K mid-September. Active users increased significantly, starting at 54.3K in early July and reaching 66.7K by the end of the quarter.

Shell: Fuel & Rewards had a consistent download rate, with a slight peak at 2.2K in early September. Active users remained fairly stable, hovering around 16K throughout the quarter.

Lastly, TUDA — rides and delivery downloads showed an upward trend toward the end of the quarter, increasing to a peak of 2.1K in late September.
