Top 5 Navigation Apps in the UK: Q3 2024 Performance Review

In the third quarter of 2024, the top navigation apps in the United Kingdom showed varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

OS Maps: Walk, Hike, Run, Bike by Ordnance Survey experienced a significant revenue increase, peaking at around $207K in mid-August. Weekly downloads were strong, reaching approximately 22K by the end of July, while active users remained steady, fluctuating around 58K before a slight dip in late September.

TomTom GO Navigation from TomTom saw a consistent weekly revenue, maintaining figures around $70K. Downloads varied, peaking at just over 10K in early July, while active users hovered around 29K, showing little change over the quarter.

Navionics® Boating by Garmin Italy Technologies demonstrated a decline in revenue, decreasing to about $17K by the end of September. Downloads were modest, generally under 1.5K, with active users slightly declining from 2K to approximately 1.6K.

Geocaching® from Groundspeak Inc. showed a gradual increase in revenue, reaching about $28K in late August. Downloads peaked at 6.9K in late July, while active users decreased from nearly 19K to just over 14K by the end of the quarter.

Finally, savvy navvy: Boat Navigation reported a decrease in revenue, ending September at approximately $8.2K. Downloads saw a sharp decline, falling to under 1K by late September, whereas active users showed a resurgence towards the quarter's end, climbing back to around 27K.
