Top 5 Lifestyle Apps in Nigeria: Q3 2024 Performance Analysis

In the third quarter of 2024, Nigeria's lifestyle app market saw varied performance among the top five apps, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads and active users for these apps.

Pinterest maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads peaking at about 86K in early August, before gradually stabilizing around the 70K mark by the end of September. Meanwhile, the app's active user base remained robust, starting at 903K and slightly increasing to over 932K by the quarter's close.

WeMuslim: Athan, Qibla&Quran experienced fluctuations in downloads, reaching a high of 53K in late August, and ending the quarter with approximately 39.5K downloads. Active users saw a notable increase from 100K at the start to over 195K by the end of September.

My Airtel showed a strong start with downloads peaking at 47K in July. However, downloads tapered off, settling at around 20K by late September. The active user count mirrored this trend, peaking in July at 384K and then stabilizing around 333K.

Glovo: Food & Grocery Delivery had a varied download trajectory, starting at 19K, dipping mid-quarter, and closing at 19.5K. The app's active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 133K by the end of September.

MultiPolls - Surveys on The Go showed significant growth in downloads, particularly in late July with over 20K, followed by a decline to about 7K at the end of September. Active users increased from 829 at the start to around 20K mid-quarter, before settling at 20K again by the end of September.
