Top Finance Apps in Oceania: Q3 2024 Performance on Unified Platform

In the third quarter of 2024, the top finance apps in Oceania demonstrated varied performance trends across downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared:

The Australian Taxation Office app began the quarter with a high download count, peaking at approximately 75K in the second week of July. However, downloads gradually declined over the quarter, settling around 13K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar downward trend, starting at 148K and decreasing to roughly 93K by the quarter's close.

CommBank maintained a relatively stable download rate throughout Q3. Downloads peaked at about 29K in mid-August, with a consistent flow of around 25K to 28K in subsequent weeks. The app saw a strong presence in active users, with numbers consistently around 3.9M, peaking at about 3.98M at the end of July.

Wise exhibited a steady increase in downloads, starting at 24.7K and reaching a high of approximately 29.4K by late August. Active users showed a positive trend as well, increasing from 75K at the beginning of the quarter to over 80K in the final week of September.

Google Wallet experienced fluctuating download numbers, peaking at 33.6K in early August before declining to around 19K by the end of the quarter. Despite this, active users consistently grew, starting at 707K and reaching over 782K by September's end.

Finally, PayPal - Pay, Send, Save maintained stable download figures, with numbers hovering between 21K and 26K throughout the quarter. Active users were similarly consistent, finishing the quarter strongly at approximately 645K.
