In the third quarter of 2024, finance applications in Malta showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active user engagement. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here's a closer look at how the top five finance apps fared during this period.

Google Wallet saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 1.3K in early July and reaching a peak of around 2.1K in late August. The downloads then tapered off, settling at about 1.2K by the end of September.

Revolut: Spend, Save, Trade maintained a relatively stable download pattern, with numbers hovering around 1K throughout the quarter. A slight uptick was observed in early September, with downloads peaking at approximately 1.3K, before declining to just under 1K at the month's end.

For BOV Mobile, the downloads exhibited a gradual increase over the quarter. Starting at around 510 in early July, the app's downloads rose steadily, culminating in approximately 690 by the end of September.

BOV 3D Secure experienced a modest but consistent download pattern, with weekly downloads ranging from 400 to 500. A slight increase was noted towards the end of the quarter, reaching a high of about 495.

Finally, Moneybase displayed a notable spike in downloads during late August, jumping to around 780 from the usual range of 300 to 400. This surge continued into September, with downloads peaking at approximately 880 by the quarter's end.
