During the third quarter of 2024, the travel app market on the iOS platform in South America saw notable trends among the top five applications. According to data from Sensor Tower, each app exhibited unique patterns in terms of weekly downloads and active users.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a solid presence with weekly downloads fluctuating around 100K to 118K. The app experienced a slight dip in mid-July but recovered towards the end of the quarter, reaching around 107K downloads in the final week of September. Weekly active users showed a small increase, starting from approximately 3.1M at the beginning of July and peaking at around 3.2M by the end of September.

99 - Private drivers and Taxi displayed a consistent download pattern, ranging from 69K to 81K weekly. The app's active users followed a similar trend, with numbers starting at 1.5M in early July and climbing steadily to 1.7M by the end of the quarter.

Airbnb saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at 63K in early July and reaching nearly 77K by the end of September. Its active user base also grew, beginning at approximately 469K and rising to around 525K over the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced steady weekly downloads, generally hovering between 55K and 65K. The active user count showed some fluctuations but remained robust, with numbers ranging from 900K to around 940K throughout the quarter.

Lastly, Booking.com: Hotels & Travel had weekly downloads that varied between 50K and 60K. Its active user numbers demonstrated resilience, starting near 999K and ending the quarter with approximately 988K.
