Top 5 iOS Travel Apps Performance in Latin America, Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the travel app market in Latin America saw notable trends on the iOS platform, with the top five apps showing varied performance in terms of downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride maintained its popularity with weekly downloads fluctuating slightly, peaking at about 167K in early July and settling at around 154K by the end of September. Active users showed a steady increase, rising from approximately 4.3M to 4.4M over the quarter.

Airbnb experienced a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, starting at roughly 96K and slightly increasing to 104K by the end of September. Active users also saw growth, moving from 701K in early July to about 773K at the close of the quarter.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides exhibited a dynamic download trend, beginning with approximately 92K and reaching over 107K in late August, before slightly dropping to 85K by the quarter's end. Active users increased from 1.8M to just under 2M during the same period.

inDrive. Save on city rides showed a relatively stable download pattern, starting at 94K, dipping to 83K mid-quarter, and ending at around 88K. Active users experienced fluctuations, starting at 1.4M, dipping mid-quarter, and rising back to 1.3M by the end of September.

Finally, 99 - Private drivers and Taxi experienced an increase in weekly downloads, moving from 76K in early July to 75K by the end of September. The active user base saw a rise, starting at 1.6M and climbing to nearly 1.7M at the quarter's conclusion.
