In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the top travel apps on iOS in Ireland showed varied trends in downloads and user engagement, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride started the quarter with weekly downloads of about 6.7K, which gradually decreased to around 3.5K by the end of September. Despite this decline in downloads, weekly active users fluctuated slightly, beginning at approximately 218K and closing the quarter at 207K.

Ryanair maintained a consistent presence in the download charts, with an initial weekly download figure of 5.7K, tapering down to 2.9K by the quarter's end. Active user metrics showed a gradual decrease from 16.7K to 15K throughout the quarter, with weekly revenue consistently hovering around $1.

Leap Top Up experienced a notable upward trend in downloads, starting at 2.7K and peaking at 5.4K in early September before settling at 4K. Active users also increased from 88.3K to 95.1K in early September, before slightly dropping to 85.8K by the end of the quarter.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw a decline in weekly downloads from 3.7K to 1.9K over the quarter. Similarly, active users decreased from 9.5K to 7.8K, indicating a downward trend in user engagement.

Lastly, TFI Live exhibited a significant increase in downloads, starting the quarter at 2.6K and reaching 5K in early September before ending at 3.6K. The app's active user base also grew from 91.9K to a peak of 100.1K in early September, then declined to 88.8K by the quarter's close.
