In the third quarter of 2024, the top travel applications on the iOS platform in Europe showed varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here is a detailed overview of how each app fared during this period.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel started the quarter with strong weekly downloads, reaching approximately 385K in mid-July. However, downloads gradually decreased to around 221K by the end of September. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at over 8.4M in late July before declining to about 6.6M by the quarter's end.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, with figures hovering around 300K weekly. The app's active user base showed a gradual increase, starting at approximately 5.5M and peaking at 5.8M in late September.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a slight fluctuation in downloads, with a high of over 309K in mid-July, tapering off to around 246K by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 1.2M mark throughout the quarter.

Airbnb saw its weekly downloads start strong at over 316K in mid-July but faced a decline to about 175K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at over 6.4M in early August before dropping to approximately 4.8M by late September.

Ryanair had a modest weekly download range, beginning with around 191K in mid-July and decreasing to 143K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users started at approximately 779K in mid-July, ending at around 681K in late September. The app also generated modest weekly revenue, peaking at $81 in early September.
