Top 5 iOS News Apps in Ghana for Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the iOS news app landscape in Ghana showed diverse performance trends across the top five applications, according to Sensor Tower data.

X from X Corp. saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $671 in early September, before slightly decreasing to $642 by the end of the month. Weekly downloads for X peaked at around 11.9K in mid-July, settling at around 6.6K by the quarter's end. The app maintained a robust user base, with weekly active users fluctuating around the 500K mark, eventually rising to about 530K by late September.

Reddit experienced consistent weekly revenue of $1, with a slight peak to $7 in late September. Download numbers remained relatively stable, with a peak of 943 in early September. Active users showed a gradual increase, starting at 14.9K and peaking at 16.9K mid-September.

Quora reported no revenue during this period. Weekly downloads hovered around the 500 mark, with minor fluctuations. Active users showed slight growth, reaching 10.4K at the beginning of September, before stabilizing around 10K by the end of the quarter.

Opera News: Breaking & Local also reported no revenue. Downloads varied slightly, peaking at 602 in mid-July, then tapering off to 427 by the end of September. Active users saw a modest decline from 14.1K in mid-July to 12.4K by the end of the quarter.

PCG Resources entered the scene with no revenue data available. Downloads showed a progressive increase, starting at 283 in mid-August and peaking at 930 in early September, before slightly decreasing to 795 by the end of September.
