In the third quarter of 2024, the top news applications on the iOS platform in Chile showed varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

X from X Corp. saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $2.3K in the last week of September. Weekly downloads were notably high at the end of July, reaching around 19K, while active users fluctuated, peaking at over 833K in late July before stabilizing at around 771K by the end of the quarter.

Reddit maintained consistent weekly downloads, generally hovering around 2.2K to 2.4K, with a slight peak at 2.8K in late July. Its active user base showed a gradual increase, reaching nearly 36.4K by the end of September. Revenue remained minimal, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.

Google News had a modest download range from 282 to 567 weekly, with a peak towards the end of September. Active users experienced a slight decline mid-quarter, but recovered to about 2.2K by the end of September.

CNN Chile experienced a stable download trend after its initial launch phase, with numbers ranging from 141 to 596 weekly downloads. This app did not report any active user data for the quarter.

Radio Bío Bío had a notable spike in downloads at the end of July, reaching 626, before settling into a range of 192 to 309 weekly downloads throughout the rest of the quarter. Like CNN Chile, it did not have active user data available.
