Top 5 iOS News Apps in Latin America Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the top iOS news applications in Latin America demonstrated varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active user metrics, as reported by Sensor Tower.

X, a leading app from X Corp., saw a fluctuating trend in weekly revenue, which reached a peak at around $56K in mid-August before closing the quarter at approximately $44K. The app's downloads varied significantly, peaking at about 190K in late July, while its weekly active users experienced a decline from 7.7M to 6.5M over the quarter.

SkyAlert: Alerta Sísmica from Skyalert de Mexico SAPI de CV showed an increase in weekly revenue from early July, reaching a high of about $19.6K in mid-September. Downloads spiked notably in late September, hitting around 12.3K, and active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 15.8K towards the end of the quarter.

REFORMA, published by Editora el Sol, maintained a consistent revenue stream, generally hovering around $9K weekly. Downloads remained relatively stable, with slight increases, reaching up to 276 downloads by the end of September.

Valor Econômico - Exclusivo from Editora Globo experienced some fluctuations in revenue, with a noticeable peak at approximately $9.1K in mid-September, while downloads gradually decreased from 452 to 324 over the quarter.

The Economist - News, Podcasts exhibited a steady revenue increase, culminating at about $10.7K at the end of September. Despite a slight drop in downloads, which were around 799 in the last week of September, active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around the 5.3K mark.
