Top 5 iOS Navigation Apps in Portugal: Q3 2024 Performance

In the third quarter of 2024, the top navigation applications on iOS in Portugal exhibited varied performance trends, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic, developed by Waze Inc., showed a dynamic pattern in weekly downloads. Starting at around 9.9K downloads in early July, the app experienced a peak of approximately 15.3K downloads by mid-August before witnessing a decline to about 7.2K by the end of September. Meanwhile, its weekly active users hovered around 437K at the beginning of the quarter, peaking at 490K mid-August, and then tapering to approximately 430K towards the end of September.

Google Maps, by Google, maintained a stable presence with weekly downloads ranging from 7.1K to 11.2K, peaking in mid-August. The active user base remained consistently strong, starting from 1.43M and peaking at around 1.49M in mid-August, before a slight decline to approximately 1.42M by the end of the quarter.

Moovit: All Transit Options saw an upward trajectory in weekly revenue, starting at $628 and reaching $1.5K by the end of September. The app's downloads also showed growth, beginning at 3.5K in early July and peaking at 7.3K in early September. Active users increased from 14.6K to 17.1K in the same period.

CARRISway had fluctuating download figures, starting strong with 12K downloads in early July, dipping mid-quarter, and rebounding to 14.6K by the end of September. The app did not report active user data for this period.

Via Verde Estacionar maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, averaging around 2.3K weekly downloads, with a slight dip towards the end. The active user base remained stable, starting at 10K and maintaining similar levels throughout the quarter.
