In the third quarter of 2024, Hungary's iOS navigation app landscape was led by five key players, each showing distinct trends in downloads and active users. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated varying levels of engagement and popularity among users.

Google Maps maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 5.3K and 7.7K. Despite this fluctuation, the app saw a slight decline in weekly active users from approximately 353K at the start of the quarter to around 329K by the end.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a peak in weekly downloads at 6.1K during mid-August, although there was a general downward trend as the quarter progressed, ending with around 3.1K downloads. The app's weekly active users showed a slight decline from 197K to 186K.

Shell: Fuel & Rewards had a modest download rate, starting at 1.5K and dropping to around 800 by the quarter's end. The app's weekly active users also decreased, starting at 7.9K and closing the quarter at approximately 6.9K.

Finally, bergfex: hiking & tracking demonstrated a gradual increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $1.1K in early August before settling at $802 by the end of September. Weekly downloads were modest, with a peak of 676 in mid-August. The app's active user base grew from 1.5K to a peak of 2.1K before ending the quarter at 1.8K.
