In the third quarter of 2024, the top five navigation apps on iOS in Switzerland showcased varied performance metrics in terms of downloads, revenue, and active user engagement. According to Sensor Tower data, here's how these apps fared:

Google Maps consistently led the pack with a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 11.5K by the end of September. Active user numbers remained robust, with a slight fluctuation around 2M users throughout the quarter.

swisstopo maintained a steady stream of weekly downloads, starting at 2.6K and reaching a high of 4.2K mid-July before tapering off slightly. Revenue saw modest growth, with weekly figures ranging between $5 and $14. Active users hovered around the 47K mark, showing stability over the months.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a gradual decline in downloads, starting from 2.3K at the beginning of July and ending at 1.9K by the end of September. Despite this, active users remained fairly stable, fluctuating between 100K and 115K during the quarter.

TCS - Touring Club Schweiz saw a decrease in weekly downloads from 2.5K in early July to just over 1K by the end of September. The number of active users similarly decreased from 9.5K to around 8.5K over the same period.
