In the third quarter of 2024, the top navigation apps on the iOS platform in Australia showcased varied performances in terms of downloads and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at how each app fared during this period.

Google Maps maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads fluctuating from around 24K to nearly 30K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users remained strong, growing steadily from approximately 2.5M to over 2.57M during the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, starting at about 19K and peaking at 26K towards the end of the quarter. However, its weekly active users saw a slight decline, moving from approximately 488K to 481K over the same period.

Petrol Spy Australia experienced a varied trend in downloads, starting at around 5.5K and reaching up to 7.2K in late July, before stabilizing between 5.6K and 6.8K. The app's weekly active users saw a modest increase, peaking at over 66K during mid-August and maintaining around 63K to 64K by the end of September.
