In the third quarter of 2024, the navigation app landscape in Austria saw interesting trends across the top five iOS applications, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps maintained steady weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 8.5K in mid-July before experiencing a gradual decrease toward the end of the quarter, settling around 7.6K. The app consistently engaged over 1.3M weekly active users, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.

WienMobil saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting at 3.1K and reaching a high of 8.7K in mid-September. The app's active user base also grew, beginning the quarter with 33.1K and peaking at 38.8K.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a decline in weekly downloads, from 2.2K at the start to about 1.3K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar downward trend, decreasing from 60.5K to 53.9K.
