During the third quarter of 2024, the top finance apps on the iOS platform in Australia showcased varied trends in downloads and active user engagement. Here's a closer look at the performance of these leading apps, with data provided by Sensor Tower.

Australian Taxation Office observed a noticeable decline in weekly downloads, beginning with approximately 47K at the start of July and tapering off to just under 10K by the end of September. Weekly active users followed a similar downward trajectory, decreasing from over 104K to around 69K throughout the quarter.

CommBank maintained a fairly consistent download rate, starting at about 15K weekly and ending the quarter at around 18K. Active users remained stable, hovering around 2M, with slight fluctuations peaking at 2.13M in late July.

Wise (ex TransferWise) experienced a steady increase in downloads, which rose from 13.4K to nearly 14.7K by the end of September. Active users showed a similar upward trend, starting at approximately 29.4K and reaching 32.7K by the quarter's close.
