In the third quarter of 2024, the educational app landscape in Bulgaria saw interesting trends among the top five iOS applications, as per Sensor Tower's data.

Shkolo experienced a significant surge in weekly downloads, especially towards the end of the quarter. Starting with modest numbers around 269 downloads in early July, the app witnessed a dramatic rise, peaking at over 10K downloads in mid-September.

Duolingo - Language Lessons maintained a consistent performance throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, ranging from 1.1K to 1.7K. The app's revenue showed a steady upward trend, starting at approximately $2.9K in early July and reaching around $4.8K by the end of September. Meanwhile, active users remained stable, averaging around 10K to 11K.

Learn 33 Languages with Mondly also demonstrated steady growth. Weekly downloads saw a peak in early September with nearly 2K downloads. Revenue consistently increased, reaching approximately $1.9K by the end of the quarter. Active users saw a similar upward trend, growing from around 1.5K in early July to over 2.3K by the end of September.

Photomath exhibited a notable increase in user engagement. Starting with around 263 downloads in early July, the app's downloads spiked to over 3.2K in mid-September. Revenue remained relatively modest, peaking at about $515 towards the end of the quarter. Active users surged significantly, starting at 4.5K and climbing to over 16K by the end of September.

Finally, Google Classroom showed a remarkable increase in both downloads and active users towards the latter part of the quarter. Downloads rose from just over 150 in early July to more than 3.5K by mid-September. Similarly, active users increased from 3.7K in early July to over 16K by the end of the quarter.
