Top Education Apps on iOS in Belgium: Q3 2024 Performance

During the third quarter of 2024, the education app segment on iOS in Belgium showcased a variety of trends across the top five applications. This analysis is based on data provided by Sensor Tower.

Duolingo - Language Lessons saw a steady performance throughout the quarter. The app's weekly revenue peaked at about $80K in late August, with a consistent range between $50K and $75K for the rest of the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of 11K in the week of September 23, while weekly active users increased from around 227K to a peak of approximately 242K by late September.

Smartschool experienced a significant boost in weekly downloads, particularly in late August, where downloads jumped to 25K and continued to rise to 31K by early September. This surge was mirrored in active user numbers, which climbed from 39K at the start of July to over 81K by the end of September.

Canvas Student displayed a notable upward trend in both downloads and active users during the quarter. Downloads increased dramatically from just over 200 in early July to more than 8K by mid-September. Similarly, active users rose steadily from 18.7K to over 52K by the quarter's end.

Toca Boca World showed a decline in both revenue and downloads across the quarter. Revenue started at approximately $5.7K in early July and decreased to around $2.9K by the end of September. Downloads followed a similar pattern, starting at nearly 2K and dropping to just over 900.

Lastly, PictureThis - Plant Identifier maintained a stable revenue figure around $8K in July, which gradually decreased to $4.7K by the end of September. Downloads also saw a decline from about 1.4K in early July to 741 in the final week of September, while active users decreased from 7.8K to 6.6K.
