In the third quarter of 2024, the MOBA genre on the Android platform in Africa showcased intriguing trends across the top five applications. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of these popular games, revealing fluctuations in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang by Moonton saw its weekly revenue start at roughly $9.8K, dipping to around $3.7K by mid-August, before rebounding to close the quarter at approximately $6.9K. Downloads began strongly at 25.2K, with a noticeable dip mid-quarter, and rallied back to 21.9K by the end of September. Weekly active users displayed a similar pattern, peaking at over 506K in late July, then declining to 430.9K before rising again to 482K.

Brawl Stars, developed by Supercell, experienced a decline in weekly revenue from $10.2K at the start of the quarter to $7.4K by the end.
