In the third quarter of 2024, the top lifestyle applications on the Android platform in Kenya showcased diverse trends in downloads and active user engagement, as reported by Sensor Tower.

MySafaricom from Safaricom Limited saw a fluctuating download pattern, starting at approximately 28K in early July and peaking at around 38K in early August. Downloads then tapered off to about 24K by late September. Meanwhile, the app maintained a robust active user base, beginning with nearly 1.9M users, experiencing a brief dip mid-quarter, and ending the quarter with over 2M active users.

My Airtel experienced a steady rise in downloads, peaking at about 29.6K in mid-August before settling around 21.8K by the end of September. Active user numbers showed a similar trend, starting at approximately 229K, reaching up to 252K, and closing the quarter at 241K.

For Pinterest, downloads were relatively stable, with a noticeable peak of 22K in late July. Active users consistently hovered around the 260K mark, peaking slightly mid-September.

Glovo: Food & Grocery Delivery saw a varied download pattern, with a significant spike to 18.7K in late September following a mid-quarter lull. The app's active users fluctuated, starting with 152K, peaking at 179K, and finally settling at 163K by the quarter's end.

Lastly, Faiba showed a steady increase in downloads, starting at about 3.3K and climbing to 3.9K by mid-September. Active users saw a gradual rise from 126K in early July to approximately 144K by late September.
