Top Education Apps on Android in Kenya, Q3 2024: Performance Insights

In the third quarter of 2024, the education app landscape on Android in Kenya revealed intriguing performance trends among the top five applications, as per data from Sensor Tower.

Domi Kids-Baby Songs & Videos showed fluctuating weekly downloads, starting at around 18K in early July, dipping to 9.4K in mid-September, and closing the quarter with an increase to approximately 12K. Weekly active users mirrored this pattern, starting at 79K, peaking at 89.7K by the end of September.

Duolingo: Language Lessons experienced a varied download trend, with a significant peak of 18.9K in the second week of July, followed by a steady pattern with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter. Revenue saw a gradual increase, starting at $331 and reaching $444 by the end of September. The app maintained a robust active user base, closing the quarter with around 67K users.

Advanced English Dictionary maintained a relatively stable download trend, with slight dips and recoveries, peaking at 8K in mid-September. Active users followed a similar trajectory, starting at 13.6K and ending the quarter at around 12.4K.

Gauth: AI Study Companion showed an impressive upward trend in downloads, beginning with 2.4K in early July and surging to over 103K in the last week of September. Revenue remained modest, fluctuating between $11 and $26. Active users saw a significant increase, reaching 86K by the end of the quarter.

Zeraki Analytics began the quarter with a spike in downloads at 20K in late July, followed by a decline, stabilizing around 3K towards the end of the quarter. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at 53K in late July and settling around 33K by the end of September.
