In the third quarter of 2024, the top education applications on the Android platform in Italy showed varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active user engagement, according to Sensor Tower data.

Duolingo: Language Lessons saw a significant rise in its weekly revenue, peaking at around $40.9K by the end of September. The app's weekly downloads followed a similar upward trajectory, reaching a high of approximately 75K in early September before tapering off to about 47K at the quarter's close. Throughout the quarter, the app maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users consistently exceeding 1.1M, peaking at approximately 1.26M in early September.

didUP - Famiglia experienced a remarkable surge in weekly downloads, particularly in September, where downloads spiked to over 92K. Active user numbers mirrored this growth, climbing from around 735K at the start of July to nearly 1.45M by the end of the quarter.

Gauth: AI Study Companion had a steady increase in weekly downloads, reaching a peak of about 74K in early September. Although revenue remained modest, there was a noticeable increase at the end of the quarter, with weekly revenue surpassing $330. Active users also grew, peaking at over 71K in early September before settling at around 44K by the end of the quarter.

ClasseViva Famiglia showed a similar pattern with a significant boost in downloads in September, peaking at over 90K. Active user numbers followed this trend, rising from approximately 698K at the beginning of the quarter to over 1.5M by the end of September.

Google Classroom demonstrated a steady rise in weekly downloads throughout the quarter, reaching a peak of about 78K in mid-September. The app's active user base grew substantially, from around 217K at the start of the quarter to over 674K by the end of September.
