In the third quarter of 2024, several top auto applications on the Android platform in the United States demonstrated varying trends in downloads and weekly active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Chevron saw a notable fluctuation in downloads, starting at approximately 23.4K in early July and peaking at around 29.6K by mid-July. However, downloads gradually decreased to about 18.9K by the end of September. The app maintained a relatively stable number of weekly active users, ranging from 129K to 143K throughout the quarter.

Cars.com – New & Used Vehicles experienced a varied download trend, beginning with about 24.4K in July, peaking in early September at 27.9K, and then dropping to 15.7K by the end of the quarter. The app's weekly active users reflected a similar pattern, with a peak of 353K in early September before declining to 284K in late September.

CarGurus: Used & New Cars observed a relatively stable download trend with minor fluctuations, starting at approximately 17.2K and ending at 15.2K. The app's weekly active users showed slight variation, ranging between 147K and 157K throughout the quarter.

Driver Written Test: 2024 Test downloads showed a gradual decline, starting at 16.4K in early July and tapering to 12.3K by the end of September. However, its weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 46K and 50K.

Shell: Fuel, Charge & More saw its downloads fluctuate slightly, beginning at 12.4K and peaking at 15.7K in early September. The weekly active users showed an upward trend, starting at 25.4K and reaching nearly 29.6K by mid-September before settling at 27.8K at the end of the quarter.
