In the third quarter of 2024, the top auto applications on the Android platform in the United Kingdom demonstrated varied trends in downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

AutoTrader Buy New & Used Cars saw a fluctuating download pattern, starting with approximately 10.7K in early July and peaking at around 13K towards the end of August. The app maintained a robust presence with weekly active users ranging from just over 110K to a high of 121.9K in mid-August.

CarGurus: Used & New Cars experienced a notable rise in weekly downloads, with a significant increase mid-quarter, peaking at 11K in early September. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 13.4K and climbing to over 21K by early September, before tapering off towards the end of the quarter.

Shell showed a consistent upward trend in downloads, starting at approximately 4K in July and reaching close to 7K by the end of September. The app's active user base also grew steadily, beginning at around 40.7K and increasing to over 45.8K by quarter's end.

The Driving Theory Test Kit | RAC demonstrated a stable performance in terms of revenue, with a gradual increase from $7.1K in July to over $9.1K by the end of September.
