The third quarter of 2024 saw interesting trends among the top apparel apps on the Android platform in Africa. According to Sensor Tower, these apps showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users, offering insights into consumer behavior in the region.

SHEIN-Shopping Online maintained robust weekly downloads, starting at around 181K in early July and reaching a peak of approximately 247K by late August. Active users also showed a steady climb, beginning with 1.66M and closing the quarter at 1.9M.

DeFacto - Clothing & Shopping experienced a decline in weekly downloads over the quarter, from 17.2K to about 5.5K. However, active users exhibited resilience, showing a rise from 205K to nearly 210K by the end of September.

MyRunway SA Fashion Shopping had fluctuating download figures, starting at 18.2K and decreasing to approximately 8.7K. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 95K at the beginning and closing at 88.5K.

adidas: Shop Shoes & Clothing witnessed a notable surge in downloads mid-quarter, peaking at over 20.7K before tapering to 9K. The active user base showed growth, particularly in September, reaching around 96.4K.

Zara saw consistent weekly download numbers, starting at 11.3K and peaking at 12.6K by the end of September. Active users remained steady, with a slight increase from 108K to 107.6K throughout the quarter.
