In the second quarter of 2024, the top five travel apps in the United Arab Emirates showcased notable trends in weekly downloads and active users, as revealed by Sensor Tower data.

Careem – rides, food & more saw its weekly downloads peak at 37K in mid-April, before stabilizing around 17K to 21K for the rest of the quarter. Active users displayed a steady increase, starting at 72K in early April and reaching over 81K by the end of June.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced a varied download trend, beginning with 10K in early April and peaking at nearly 13K in mid-June. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering between 243K and 274K throughout the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride started the quarter with 7K downloads, reaching a high of 16K in mid-April, and then stabilizing around 8K to 9K. Active users consistently increased from 267K to 286K by the end of June.

Wego Flights & Hotels Booking maintained a steady download rate, starting at 9.8K in early April and fluctuating around 8.5K to 10.5K. Active users showed a gradual increase, beginning at 73K and reaching over 82K by mid-June.

Emirates had a consistent download trend, starting at 6.5K and peaking at 8.7K in mid-April. Active users remained stable, fluctuating between 13K and 15K throughout the quarter.
