In the second quarter of 2024, the top 5 navigation applications in Ghana showcased diverse performance trends on a unified platform, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps demonstrated a consistent rise in weekly downloads, starting at 6.5K in early April and peaking at approximately 7.7K by the end of June. The app maintained a robust number of weekly active users, growing from 148.7K to 159.1K over the quarter.

GhanaPostGPS had a relatively stable download rate, fluctuating between 1.1K and 1.4K weekly downloads. Its active user base remained steady, averaging around 15.8K throughout the quarter.

The Bolt Driver App experienced significant download fluctuations. Downloads surged to nearly 9.8K in early April but dropped to around 3.4K by mid-May, before recovering to 6.5K by the end of June. Active users followed a similar pattern, decreasing from 66.7K in early April to 56.3K by late June.

GPS Live Navigation saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, reaching up to 302 in mid-June. Its active users also grew steadily, from 3.5K at the beginning of April to 3.6K at the end of June. The app generated modest revenue, peaking at $30 in the week of May 20.

Finally, Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a consistent performance with weekly downloads ranging between 200 and 250. Active users peaked at 2.6K in early June but saw a slight decline to 2.4K by the end of the month.
