Top 5 Navigation Apps in Egypt for Q2 2024

In the second quarter of 2024, the navigation app market in Egypt saw interesting trends across the top 5 applications. Data from Sensor Tower reveals significant insights into their performance.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 16.6K and 22.1K. The highest number of downloads was observed in the week of June 17. The app also saw a consistent increase in weekly active users, starting from 1.16M in early April and reaching 1.26M by the end of June.

Radarbot: Speed Cameras | GPS experienced varied weekly downloads, peaking at 26.4K in mid-June. The app's revenue showed a gradual increase, with the highest weekly revenue of approximately $2.9K in the final week of June. Active users also increased steadily, from 48.4K to 57.9K during the quarter.

Qibla Finder Compass 100% had a more modest performance. Weekly downloads ranged from 2.8K to 4.4K, with a slight peak in mid-June. Weekly revenue fluctuated, peaking at around $453 in mid-May. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, starting at 23.2K and ending at 24.1K.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed a notable increase in downloads, reaching a high of 5.1K in mid-June. Weekly active users grew from 23.3K to 30.1K over the quarter. Despite the growth in user engagement, the app did not generate any revenue during this period.

MapXplorer: Radar, Navigation demonstrated a strong upward trend in weekly downloads, starting at 4K and peaking at 8.4K in mid-June. Revenue saw a significant spike in the week of June 10, reaching approximately $442. Weekly active users also increased, from 17.8K to 26.7K by the end of June.
