In the second quarter of 2024, Brazil's top five navigation apps demonstrated diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here, we dive into the performance metrics of Google Maps, Waze Navigation & Live Traffic, Moovit: All Transit Options, Cittamobi: Transporte Coletivo, and Bike Itaú.

Google Maps saw its weekly downloads fluctuate throughout Q2. Starting at 123.7K in early April, downloads peaked at 184.2K in early May before settling at around 155.6K by the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 6.53M and ending the quarter at 6.42M.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a consistent download rate with minor variations. Downloads started at 189.6K in early April and saw a slight peak at 222.8K in late May, closing the quarter at 179.7K. Active users maintained a steady climb, beginning at 6.29M and reaching 6.25M by the end of June.

Moovit: All Transit Options showed a steady revenue stream, with weekly earnings ranging between $10.6K and $15K. Downloads started at 120.4K in early April, peaked at 122.3K in early June, and ended at 113.5K. Active users started at 3.77M and slightly decreased to 3.61M by the end of the quarter.

Cittamobi: Transporte Coletivo had modest revenue fluctuations, ranging from $1K to $2.2K weekly. Downloads decreased from 82.1K in early April to 45.5K by the end of June. Active users saw a dip, starting at 896.1K and ending at 835K.

Bike Itaú reported stable active users, beginning at 69.9K and ending at 60.5K. Downloads started at 20.6K in early April and decreased to 12K by the end of June.
