In the second quarter of 2024, several lifestyle apps showcased interesting trends in Egypt. Data from Sensor Tower reveals how these top 5 apps performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

WeMuslim: Athan, Qibla&Quran saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting strong at around 259K in early April and peaking at nearly 300K the following week. Downloads gradually declined to approximately 143K by mid-June, with a slight recovery to 173K by the end of the quarter. The app maintained a high level of weekly active users, beginning at 1.4M and steadily increasing to 1.6M by the end of June.

Pinterest experienced a consistent rise in weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Starting at around 60K in early April, downloads increased to a peak of 84K in mid-June. Active users also saw a steady trend, fluctuating between 1.6M and 1.7M, ending the quarter with approximately 1.6M active users.

Prayer Now : Azan Prayer Times showed a mixed performance in weekly downloads, with numbers ranging from 70K in early April to a low of 33K by the end of June. Revenue for this app was relatively stable, peaking at $199 in early April and maintaining around $150 towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users remained high, starting at 2.9M and ending the quarter at around 2.6M.

AlMosaly: Athan, Qibla, Quran had a varied download pattern, beginning with 41K in early April, dipping to 15K in late May, and then recovering to 37K by early June. Revenue showed a steady increase, peaking at $467 in mid-June. Active users saw a general upward trend, starting at 247K and ending at 222K by the end of June.

Finally, Al-Quran (Pro) exhibited a stable download trend, starting at 42K in early April, with minor fluctuations, and ending at 24K in late June. Active users showed a slight decline from 266K in early April to 175K by the end of June.
